Pakistan to Host Key Foreign Ministers Amid Regional Tensions

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is set to host the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Egypt on March 29–30 for high-level discussions focused on regional developments and diplomatic coordination.

According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, the visit will take place at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. The visiting dignitaries include Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Egypt’s Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty.

The Foreign Office stated that the visiting ministers will engage in in-depth discussions on a range of issues, particularly efforts aimed at de-escalating ongoing tensions in the region including those arising from the evolving situation linked to the US-Israel-Iran conflict.

During their stay, the foreign ministers are also expected to call on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, further underscoring the importance of the visit.

Pakistan emphasized that it highly values its longstanding relations with Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Egypt, describing them as “brotherly countries.”

The visit is expected to provide a significant opportunity to enhance cooperation and strategic coordination among the four nations across multiple areas of mutual interest, particularly in the context of current geopolitical challenges.
