Pakistan is set to host Sri Lanka and England for an extended international cricket programme between October and November with the two visiting teams scheduled to play matches across Rawalpindi, Lahore and Islamabad.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced that Sri Lanka will begin the tour with a three-match T20 International series against Pakistan in Rawalpindi. The Sri Lankan team is expected to arrive in Pakistan in early October ahead of the limited-overs fixtures.
Following the T20I series, England will join Pakistan and Sri Lanka for an ODI tri-series. The three teams will compete in matches in Rawalpindi and Lahore with the series concluding in Lahore at the end of October.
The tri-series will provide Pakistan with an opportunity to face both visiting teams in the 50-over format before the focus shifts to Test cricket in November.
After the completion of the ODI matches, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will meet in a two-Test series. The Tests will form part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 and will be played in Rawalpindi and Lahore.
Sri Lanka’s tour will also include a three-day match in Islamabad before the Test series begins. The international programme means Pakistan will host both Sri Lanka and England across multiple formats during a busy period of the cricket calendar. The matches will also bring international cricket to some of the country’s major venues, including Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium and Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
For Pakistan, the series will provide valuable preparation across T20, ODI and Test cricket, while the Test matches against Sri Lanka will contribute to the ongoing World Test Championship campaign.
The tour is scheduled to run from October 9 to November 21, giving cricket fans in Pakistan several weeks of international action involving three prominent cricketing nations.
