Pakistan has taken a significant step toward improving its national infrastructure as the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the National Highway Authority (NHA) signed an agreement to develop key sections of the M6 Motorway under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
The agreement focuses on the Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway (M6), a crucial project aimed at completing Pakistan’s north-south high-speed road network. Officials from both organizations attended the signing ceremony highlighting the importance of international collaboration in infrastructure development.

Under the agreement, the ADB will provide technical and advisory support including feasibility studies, project structuring, and assistance in transparent procurement processes.
The project involves the construction of a 120-kilometre, six-lane motorway, equipped with modern tolling systems, traffic management and road safety features. The motorway will begin from Hyderabad and extend toward Sukkur forming a vital link in the national transport network.
