The Sindh government has asked the ISI, IB, NCCIA and Sindh Rangers to nominate officers for a JIT investigating businessman Mir Raza Ali’s murder. The team will be led by West DIG Irfan Baloch. A judicial commission highlighted serious police lapses and alleged negligence. The government has sought action against responsible officers and requested an FIA-led committee to examine possible criminal proceedings. Medico-legal officer Dr Osama Sheikh will face suspension and disciplinary proceedings, while a separate committee will review the conduct of police officials involved in the case.
