Warner Bros. Discovery has announced its 2026 “Back to Hogwarts” celebrations, marking 25 years of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone with a global fan program and theatrical rerelease.
The anniversary event will feature a one-week return of the original film in cinemas, along with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and screenings of all eight Harry Potter movies worldwide from late August to early September.
Celebrations will peak on September 1 a key date in the wizarding world with fan events across multiple countries, including the UK, France, Japan and the US. Special attractions, live experiences and themed activities are also planned at major locations and theme parks.
In addition, new previews of the upcoming HBO Original Harry Potter series will be revealed building anticipation ahead of its expected debut later this year.
The program will conclude with a global livestream showcase featuring updates and announcements from across the franchise.
