Pakistan Reopens Gabd-Rimdan Border Crossing with Iran

Pakistan reopened the Gabd-Rimdan border crossing with Iran on Saturday, resuming bilateral trade after a weeklong suspension that began on October 17. Trucks carrying LPG and essential food supplies were allowed to cross, providing relief to stranded traders and transporters.
The reopening followed a security review and the deployment of additional forces after unidentified gunmen attacked freight vehicles near the crossing earlier in the week, setting dozens of trucks on fire.
Traders welcomed the move, saying restored supplies could help ease LPG shortages and pressure on energy and food prices across Pakistan.
