The Quran also describes how, after the murder, a crow showed Cain how to bury his brother’s body marking the first burial in human history.
Islamic scholars emphasize that the root cause of the crime was not external conflict but internal emotions such as jealousy, anger and moral weakness. The story serves as a reminder that the origins of violence lie within human nature and the failure to control negative impulses.
